- First, what is the meaning of self-esteem
According to google, self-esteem encompasses beliefs about oneself, as well as emotional states such as triumph, despair, pride and shame. It is the decision made by an individual as an attitude towards the self.
Self-esteem can be low or somewhere in between while everyone occasionally has doubts about themselves, low self-esteem can leave you feeling insecure and unmotivated.
There are two kinds of self-esteem, which are low self-esteem and high self-esteem
Having little self-belief can stop you from living the life you want to live. If you have low self-esteem you may feel

- Worthless or not good enough
- Unable to make decisions or assert yourself
- Like no one likes you
- You blame yourself for things that aren’t your fault

Having low self-esteem isn’t a mental health problem itself, but the two are closely linked
Some of the experiences of low self-esteem can also be symptoms to mental health problems, such as;

If a lot of things are affecting your self-esteem for a long time, this may lead to a mental health problem, such as depression or anxiety
