SLAY FESTIVAL 2019|| MY HONEST REVIEW

slay festival 2019|| my honest review

I was skeptical about writing this not to talk of posting this blog post because i told myself to write an honest review about this event which explains why I’m just posting this..

Forgive my manners, HAPPY NEW MONTH people, hope September went well and if it didn’t, you can do better in October

SLAY FESTIVAL 2019|| MY HONEST REVIEW

I was opportune to attend the most talked about event on Instagram SLAY FESTIVAL on the 28 of September 2019 at the Lekki Special Events Center and i must commend the organising committee for starting at the exact time as stated in their fliers

This is the first social media event they started on time, no African time. I got there few minutes to 1, the sessions were going on already and the class was filled to brim.

SLAY FESTIVAL 2019|| MY HONEST REVIEW

I sat down in the first class i saw because the classes were going on already and there was no sign indicating the class that was going on and no one to ask, so i just joined the class i saw first which i later found out was the RECHARGE STAGE where the speakers talked about BUILDING A BRAND.

The second class i attended was the BUILDING A FASHION BRAND
GROWING A BUSINESS class and it was a  masterclass, it was an amazing class filled with knowledge, it was worth the time and money, i literally learnt a whole lot of thing and here some of the things i learnt

  • Your brand is what you represent
  • Your brand is more than your logo
  • Core values
  • Mission statements
  • Unique selling preposition
  • Your brand story

This are key points tho, I’m not ready to share everything i learnt till i implement them on my brand

After the masterclass, i met up with my blogger friends and i met a lot of people i know on Instagram, half of Instagram was literally at the event.

From celebrities to influencers even TV presenters were present, it was an event filled with creatives and entertainers

SLAY FESTIVAL 2019|| MY HONEST REVIEW

In my own opinion SLAY FESTIVAL was worth the hype and mention Instagram even though this was my first time attending the event.

If someone had told me i would attend this year SLAY FESTIVAL i wouldn’t believe because i was given the ticket by my blogger friend a day to the event which gave me less than 24 hours to figure out what to wear.

SLAY FESTIVAL 2019|| MY HONEST REVIEW

The Shortcomings I Think The Event Had
  • There weren’t sign showing what session was going on each classes
  • There was limited for each sessions, there was a lot of things to talk about, questions to ask but there wasn’t time.. I would say the sessions were rushed
  • There was too much going on at the same time

This were the few glitches i think the event had aside this it was a perfect event but no one is perfect right and there’s always room for improvement. Like they say, we learn everyday

SLAY FESTIVAL 2019|| MY HONEST REVIEW

Like i said earlier SLAY FESTIVAL was worth the hype and mention on Instagram and I’m definitely looking forward to the event next year

Max.ng ride

I channeled my inner child at the event by playing on the bouncing castle, it was so much fun i had to go 3 times. Not to talk of the beautiful spaces for pictures every corner is perfect for pictures, from the fayrouz stand to maybelline corner to the max area and so on. I enjoyed every second and minute spent at the event

SLAY FESTIVAL 2019|| MY HONEST REVIEW

In conclusion, slay festival is an event where you learn, slay, connect and have fun at the same time and I’m really happy i was able to attend the event. It was a day well spent and like i said earlier i look forward to the event next year
